A few of our favorite things

Some of our favorite things right now...

Hannah is obsessed with the Pound Puppies. It's a cute little show...the motto is "a pup for every person and a person for every pup".  There are some episodes  on the dvr for her and it's 30 minutes of solitude for me when I put it on:) Makayla and Bella like it too, but Hannah likes it best.

Makayla is in love with this book! She is trying to potty train herself. I was perfectly content just changing her diaper... not cleaning up poop and pee all day every day from everywhere. She loves the part of the book that shows the duck's "accidents" on the floor. I got the book from one of the library book sales, so it was the exact same book I checked out for Bella a million times. This was Bella's favorite book for a long, long time. She picked it almost every night to read. I love all the books I have read by Michael Dahl. Plus, it really is a great potty training book.

Bella really likes these pickles. I bought them for Hannah's lunch but she wasn't a fan. I wouldn't recommend this but Bella even likes putting a straw in the container and drinking all the juice out before she eats the pickles. They really are petite too probably the smallest pickles I have ever seen. They are probably a little pricey compared to just buying a jar of pickles and getting out individual portions but I like the convenience.

I love this! I have very limp hair and when I use this it gives my hair a lot of volume and I can style it way more easily. I put it on after I wash my hair in the shower and leave it on about 5 minutes then rinse it out. I use it about once a week.

I  really like this lotion. I got it in my stocking at Christmas and have used it daily since then. I surprisingly like the smell and it keeps my skin soft and I hope it is really helping with anti-aging!

I am by no means a bodybuilder but I really like bodybuilding.com. I have gotten ideas from the website and really like reading their  Motivation Articles. I think anyone interested in fitness could probably learn something new from this website.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the week so far. I started classes yesterday and it's a struggle to get back into it. I just have to survive class one more day this week:) If anyone has a new favorite thing I would love to hear about it so I can try it out!

Last Thursday, I was up with Makayla around 4:00 a.m.,  when I looked out the window and watched as Pierre got everything ready for work and drove off . Not even considering the time... it was freezing cold outside and had been snowing during the night!  I got a lump in my throat and I was just overwhelmed with thankfulness for my husband.
Pierre works hard to provide for our family.  He often works six days a week, out of town, long hours, and outside in the elements..whatever they may be!  He does this so that I am able to stay home and care for our girls and that has always been my dream.
He believes in me more than I've ever believed in myself and does everything he can to make me happy. He is the same way with our girls.
So Pierre.. I know I don't tell you often enough but Thank You for everything you do and I am so very thankful for you!!! Mwen renmen w

As usual, Sunny and I were a little late getting the girls together to exchange Christmas gifts. This year we did better than last year since we didn't wait until April. I think all the girls had fun playing with their new gifts.
Picture
The girls also had fun playing dress-up, torturing Sunny's little dogs, and eating all of her food:)

First Saturday of 2014!

The girls and I had a busy but fun day. They had their first basketball game this morning, and Bella and Hannah both did great. I'm proud of Bella for pushing past her comfort zone. She gets shy in front of people she doesn't know and when we got to the gym this morning she told me she wasn't going to play. I bribed/threatened her and she ended up loving it:)

After the girls game we watched our cousin play one of her games, then went and ate lunch at Casa Luna with my parents. I haven't ate there in two years and I have to say it was so good today. It was probably the best bread I have ever had. I don't want to eat out often, but it's nice to know there's another option if I wanted to go out in Sparta. The girls and I then went to Wal-Mart and picked out a get well card for a friend. They really love the cards that play music. I'll definitely have to spend the extra few dollars and get them a special card for their next birthday.

After our little trip to Wal-Mart, Bella had a hair appointment. She has been begging me to make her an appointment to make her hair straight again. I love her beautiful, curly hair but it gets so tangly unless she wears it up and sometimes she wants to wear it down like Rapunzel(her favorite)! My friend Lee Ann puts a temporary texturizing treatment on it  and it lasts several months.  Bella is thrilled right now.

About to get her hair done!
Happy Saturday!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone has enjoyed the first day of 2014! I know that I have. It was such a beautiful day and the girls and I spent as much time as we could outside. Bella practiced riding her bike.

She spent a lot of time looking like this...

She only fell off once and got better as she kept going:)

My dad bought all of the girls a lifetime hunting/fishing license and he has gotten Hannah excited about hunting.  She went with him on Friday rabbit hunting. They only got one rabbit and he needed more to have my mom make a meal for them. He got another today so that they could have enough to eat.  Hannah and Makaya helped him skin the rabbit (ewww!!!) I try to keep my lack of enthusiasm to myself because I'm completely fine with them hunting and eating what they kill. I just don't want any part of it myself.
Picture
This was Makayla's face when Hannah and dad first starting working on the rabbit.

She then decided she wanted to do it herself.
Picture
Hannah was transfixed from the start. I was just glad when it was done.
I then followed the kids around trying to play with my camera.

I already knew the sun was not my friend when taking pictures but looking at my pictures reiterated that for me. Any photographer friends have any tips?

I love this picture even if it's not perfect because to me it looks like PURE  JOY!!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone! Hope it's your best one yet!
