I finally finished this book after reading it off and on since the summer. I got it for a dollar at the Library's book sale and thought it looked interesting. I really had no idea that it would be so intense and hard to get through. Both her personal life and work with PSI was very heart-wrenching to read about. There were certain chapters that I couldn't get out of my head for days. I certainly don't have all the same beliefs as Ashley Judd, but I feel like you can't read this, and not come away with the feeling that you need to do something..ANYTHING ...to help people in need. She is very passionate and it comes across in this book. As a Christian it really convicts me about my lack of action in the area of helping those in need. I know that there is SO  much more  that I could do, but there are so many excuses I use. It's hard to give up a luxury (because of my selfish nature) to help someone in need, but that's Exactly what I am called to do! The Bible talks about this subject many times. I would be glad to lend anyone this book if they are interested in reading it. And if you are looking for an organization that does help the needy by putting roofs on their houses, while sharing God's word,  you can check out their website at www.housetops4haiti.com.

Hannah started Play School at the Methodist Church this week. She has been so excited to go and has been waiting for her 3rd Birthday so that she could start. Last weekthe teachers said she could go ahead and start since her birthday is in a couple of weeks.

This is what I felt like the day she went...

And this is what she felt like...

She is only gone two days but I really do miss her. The first day Makayla didn't know what to do with herself. She didn't want me out of her sight and wanted me to just play with her all day. It seems like every time I get in some sort of routine things change, but I'm glad Hannah is having so much fun! I love hearing her tell me all about her day. She told me her and the girls played babies, kitchen, she ate lunch and when I asked she said that she did miss me...and papa! I know that we sure miss her too.

School was 2 hours late this morning so I got to spend a little extra time with Bella this morning. That's always a great way to start the week! She decided to celebrate the occasion by wearing all of her dress up jewelry.

This is so not her usual face!

Hannah was being super silly.

Makayla has discovered chocolate and she thinks it's great anytime and with any meal. Including breakfast.

It makes her really happy.

Those two new teeth she is cutting may make for a hard night of sleep, but this little smile makes it easy to forget the next day. (Mostly)!
