Last weekend I took the girls and my mom to Nashville. My mom and I were going to Jillian Michaels Maximize Your Life Tour on Saturday, but we went on Friday to stay with my aunt Vicki who lives in Gallatin, and to do a little shopping.
Hannah is always up for shopping if it involves accessories. She loves sunglasses!
We stopped in Lebanon on Friday and Makayla loved this Arthur "ride". Too bad I'm a cheapo because that's all she got to do...sit beside Arthur:)
On Saturday we went to a mall. My kids went craaazy over this carousel. I bribed them that if they were good while we shopped they could ride it when we left. They did pretty well so mom bought them tokens to ride.
Then we went back and got ready and we were on our way to see Jillian. We met up with Patty and Amber at The Old Spaghetti Factory to carb load beforehand just in case she decided to give us one of her workouts. After dinner we walked over to TPAC. Our tickets were front row center and she incorporated my mom the whole time..she called her "Beads". Jillian was so amazing. She really, really was. She talked pretty briefly about nutrition and exercise but it was mostly on how to Maximize Your Life. I still haven't processed everything she talked about. She goes really deep. I wish I could have recorded it so I could listen to it a couple more time. I took away so much to apply to my life right now. I would recommend anyone to go to her tour and get VIP tickets so you can get a pic with her like mom and I did!!!
She is 40!!! She is also super small. I don't know what I was expecting but she was tiny. Maybe by 40 I can look half that good!
Tuesdays are usually my long day at school but fortunately for me I'm on Spring Break this week! I would love to be at the beach somewhere but just not having to go to school is a close second. I'm not completely off. I have three tests when I go back to school and one of them is a really tough test in my Geology class. Yesterday, I went to school to try and take pictures of the 38 minerals that I'm going to be tested over (along with a lot of other material).
The thing is I had Hannah and Makayla with me. I was working as fast as I could but they were just not cooperating. I finally just gave up.
Please say a prayer for me and this test next Tuesday! They didn't want to cooperate but they wanted me to take their picture and I was happy to do that.
One reason I gave up is because Makayla would NOT stay out of the chalk- as you can see on her face! It took me 1o minutes to clean the board off.
Sometimes Hannah can be so sweet to Makayla.
I don't know if Hannah has been sneaking and watching America's Next Top Model or what but she kept picking different spots for me to take her picture and "modeling". There was no instruction from me...these are all her own "poses";) Makayla mostly imitated her. Bella was in school so she missed out...I'll have to take her out and take some pictures of her soon.
The girls finally got distracted by a squirrel and I noticed that my professor was in the parking lot and could see their shenanigans so I hurried and left. HaHa
Can't wait until school is out for the summer so I can spend more days like this with all the girls-minus the mineral photography-or lack thereof.
