![]() Makayla worn out from "swimming" Today we tried to beat the heat and went to the Gilley pool. We got there early enough and got the chairs in the shade...woohoo! I love that they have lifeguards standing in the water and things for the kids to enjoy like the froggy slide. Bella had fun this year walking/swiming around out of the floaty and made a little friend at the pool. Hannah mostly stayed in the jet ski float after she slipped in the (very) shallow water and couldn't get her balance. Poor girl, it really scared her so she was happy in the float the rest of the time. I'm glad that I was standing right beside of her too! There were also lots of friends to play with. I even made two new friends. There were two elderly ladies next to us that looked out for us and smiled our way but they never spoke a word. They took a lot of pictures of each other so I was thinking maybe they aren't locals! I'm thankful that God has given us such a fun way to cool off on a hot day!

![]() Lance Halseth, Pastor Brian Morris and my husband Pierre. My husband returned to his home country of Haiti in February of this year. He hadn't been back since he was 15 years old. Pierre went as an interpreter for a group of people going from Calvary Chapel church in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was a life changing experience for him because he knew that he wanted to help people in Haiti he just wasn't sure how. The way things have fallen into place so amazingly for Pierre and his friends, the Halseths, to witness to and help the Hatian people is exciting to watch and to be a part of. Please pray for Lance and Ronda Halseth as they have been preparing to return to Haiti for full time missions and for Housetops4Haiti. They have recently gotten their website up Housetops4Haiti.com so check it out! I'm so lucky to have such a great mom. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She's not only a great mother but a great friend as well. I love you so much mom and hope that you have a wonderful birthday!
Tomorrow night I should be enjoying a night out on the town watching these two. We aren't even going to think about Grace Potter either. But no, someone decided to run off and live at the beach and leave me here with no one to go to the Brothers of the Sun tour with. Thanks a lot, BFF. I guess you will just have to make it up to me when I come see you at the beach!!!! Can't wait to see you. I miss you a lot!! I ran into the library a couple of weeks ago and didn't have anything in mind to get when I saw this book. It's a quick read but I found that it really touched me. I know that God has a plan for all of us, but it's truly amazing how he has used Immaculee Ilibagiza. She chronicles her life and the months she spent in a small bathroom with several other women during the Rwandan genocide. I highly recomment this book
![]() My boys. Any suggestions for names? Happy 1st Day of Summer! It was a hot one here. I kept the girls in this morning but they played outside after nap until it was time to go to bed. I had planned on letting them catch fireflies in a mason jar tonight but Bella didn't take a nap today so she was ready for bed at 7:30. We started the summer out pretty good, we went and got 1/2 price milkshakes at Sonic, and got two Blue Heeler puppies!!! I have been wanting a blue heeler for a long time and when we were getting out from getting the milkshakes today I noticed my uncle was at my parent's house and was handing the girls a puppy. He said my dad told him to get two for me. I think they are a great breed for children/families. "Girl" is my parents heeler and she is an awesome dog. She is a very loyal dog and a good worker and watchdog. I'm excited about having the dogs to watch out for us when we get our house built! ![]() Taken almost two years ago when. They were so little! Today we went and visited with Sunny, Ella Grace and Emily Kate. Bella and Ella Grace are only 6 months apart and Hannah and Emily Kate are only one month apart. It's really neat having all girls so close together. I like to joke with Sunny that she needs one more girl to even things out:) My girls always have fun playing at Sunny's house and are never ready to go when it's time to leave! I always have fun visiting with Sunny too(when there's no bobcat involved:)! I'm so thankful to have such a great friend as Sunny. She's treats my kids like her own and has always been there when I needed her. Thankful for these girls! ![]() Our friend Owen celebrated his first birthday recently and had a Sunshine themed party. He really is a little ray of sunshine. So sweet and always has a smile and hug. I made him (with help from my mom) a carseat cooler from the blog eighteen25@blogspot.com and got him some little cars. I just feel a little bad that I haven't gotten the girls one made yet because they are so cute and keep the little bums from burning when they get in their carseat in the 90 degree weather. Hope you enjoy it Owen! Happy Birthday! ![]() Makayla and Papa I had been trying to get Makayla to sleep for a while and finally gave up and asked my dad to hold her for a few minutes. When I walked back into the room this is what I found. Silly little girl fights her sleep so much sometimes and then just falls asleep almost instantly from being so tired. |
