It seems like it's been a long time since I posted a blog. The fair, birthday parties, baby showers, football games, and I guess just life have been a distraction. It's almost like exercise, sometimes, I don't want to drag out my camera and lap top, but after I do, I feel so much better. I really want to document our lives to have something the girls can look back on. That's why I though I would catch back up with the 6Fs: Faith, Family, Food, Fitness, Fashion, and Finances. I
Faith: Monday morning I started a study on the book of Colossians. The study is from the blog goodmorninggirls.org. It's not to late to start if you're looking for a good Bible study . It really helps me with accountability and there is also a link to a website that has a one year plan for memorizing the book of Colossians.
Family: Pierre leaves for Haiti Friday to visit his family. The last trip he made to Haiti was as an interpreter but this time he will get to spend time with family and old friends. I really want to see pictures of his new niece!
I had an awesome day with the girls. Bella was the first girl up this morning and wanted to cuddle! It was so great to just cuddle up on the couch. I love her so much and sometimes feel guilty that my attention is divided. Mom took her to school for me today and then it was just Hannah and me because Makayla was still asleep. We played blocks and just hung out together. It felt nice just to have that time one on one with her today too. Today, I was thinking that Hannah will be 3 before I know it. I really feel like time is a thief! I just wish I could slow things down!! One of the great things about breastfeeding is that I get alone time with Makayla everyday! She didn't feel well today and I feel very blessed that God chose me to be her mother, and that I was able to comfort her. I hope that she's feeling better tomorrow.
Food: I'm addicted to Green Smoothies!!! I have heard about Green Smoothies for a long time and now I know what all the fuss was about. I have been having one every morning and I really feel like it has given me an energy boost! I even had one tonight rather than eating anything else. My girls even like them. My quick recipe is
Green Smoothie
2 cups filtered water
2 heaping handfuls spinach
1 green apple (peeled and cored)
1 banana
1 handful strawberries
I have been putting the water and spinach in first and blending on liquefy for about 30 seconds(tip from friend) and then adding the rest of the ingredients and blending. It really is delicious!
Fitness: Boot Camp! I love this class. It kicks my butt and I'm starting to see muscles in my arm emerge!
Fashion: I need clothes! I'm right smack dab in between sizes:(
Finances: I have nothing to put for this category so I will just tell you what book I'm reading. I'm reading the Duggar's first book and I love it so far. It's very uplifting and I am excited to find the time to finish it
