Makayla kept me on my toes this morning..that's for sure! I still, however, managed to make something for Hannah's class party and put on make-up and do my hair. That's reason enough to celebrate and document:)
I made these little "Mummy Dogs" that Pillsbury had on their website. You're supposed to put little mustard eye dot things on them, but I was afraid picky eaters wouldn't like that. I also omitted the cheese because the reviews said the dough didn't bake where the cheese was. They were still a big hit and I noticed some kids even had two of them. This morning Hannah said, "Mommy, the kids are NOT going to like that" when she saw the picture, but after the kids chowed down on them, she was saying "My mom brought those"! She's so funny. She also told me that I was the "best mommy" tonight. That made me really, really happy.
All the kids got to wear their costumes to school today. This is what was left of her costume when I got there..the headband. Oh well, she's still a cutie!
Makayla had a lot of fun at Hannah's school party too. She wasted no time jumping in and making new friends.
She also had no problem telling the other kids to "MOOOOVE"!!!!
I got very few pictures at her party because Hannah basically told me I had taken enough and to put my camera up. So I obliged and enjoyed my time with her and her friends.

I feel like I'm always posting pictures of Makayla asleep but I can't help myself. She is just so sweet and that little lip and chin..kills me! She had worn herself out partying it up with Hannah. She's also sleeping on a blanket my dad bought me for Christmas several years ago. It is so soft and comfy. I want to go sleep on it right now!
Bella got some good news today. No surgery right now for her ears and tonsils. She has been sick several times since school started and is very prone to ear infections. The doctor thinks the ears are stemming from allergies and the recurrent strep throat is just from being around kids now that she's back at school. I'm happy she doesn't have to have surgery and am praying she can stay healthy!
I was thinking today about Erin Brockevich's speech last night and loved the quote she ended with and wanted to share it.. even though I'm sure a lot of people have heard it before:
What lies behind you and what lies before you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
