Well, it's official, my computer is a goner. The good news is there is a new one on it's way! And my lens came back today, so I can actually take pictures again without standing a football field away! Yay.
I didn't get to document it on here but I finished my 21 day challenge.

Picture
Lovely camera picture taken by Bella
I lost 10 pounds in the 21 days and went down 1 pant size. I'm very happy with the results! I also came down with a nasty stomach bug and lost an additional 2 pounds soon after. I can't say that I'm happy about the bug, but happy that those 2 pounds are now gone. I'm not sure where I'm going to go from here. I will definitely continue working out and eating healthy but I liked having a "challenge". If anyone has any good ideas..I'm all ears.
Picture
This picture was taken post workout..and by "post workout" lets just assume that I mean right after my actual workout..not 5 hours later and still in the same clothes...and still breaking a sweat after chasing my kids around outside. And still wearing no make-up and being covered in a nice chocolate substance thanks to Makayla. Brava to you moms out there that have on real clothes and make-up. I will try and do better..maybe.
And speaking of Makayla...this girl is a mess. She makes me laugh a lot and is such a mommy's girl..and I LOVE IT! She kept saying cheese and when she heard the camera take the picture she would bust out giggling.
Picture
She keeps me on my toes and as much as I love her going non-stop and getting into everything..I also love this
Picture
I love watching her sleep and every once in a while curling up and taking a nap with her! But then she's back at it again! Just like her sisters.
Picture
Yes, Hannah is wearing a Mr. Potato Head shirt.
Bella got this Jeep from my parents a couple of years ago for her birthday. She has just recently decided that she likes driving it and her sister around. She will definitely need driving school as you can tell from the bucket she ran over that I had to fish out! Like mother/like daughter:)
Picture
Except for the dancing part...Mommy can't dance! But Bella is a great little dancer. I love the last few minutes of dance class when the parents get to come in and watch. I can tell she is learning a lot and really enjoys it. I'm looking forward to her dance recital this month to see both of the dances she has been working so hard on!

Day 15

What a crazy weekend! I've almost started dreading the weekend because it gets me out of my workout/healthy eating routine. I never thought I would say that:) During the week I have a routine and therefore, I have   fewer decisions to make..I know that I'll either go to Candy or Kyle's class, elliptical, have 1 egg with 1/4 avocado on top for breakfast, green smoothie, or salad for lunch, etc. I have childcare at the Y and I don't feel guilty because I'm blessed to get to spend the rest of my day with my babies. On the weekend, however, I have used up all my child care time at the Y, need to run errands, usually we go out to eat once or twice and we don't have a routine that we have to stick to.
I say this because I need to get it together on the weekend! I think I made good decisions about eating 50% of the time this weekend. I didn't work out even 1 time though:( I didn't feel as good either..my body was missing working out. It's such a great stress reliever!
I'm back on track today! We had a GREAT workout with Candy this morning and I've eaten the way I know fuels my body and helps me lose weight.
I drank a lot,lot,lot of water.
I have taken Life Long Vitality twice.
I had a salad from Subway for dinner (in the car on my way to paint at my house...Someone please buy it!!!)
I worked out 1 hour today, did a ton of yard work, and painted a room.
I didn't have a Green Smoothie today but will make sure and have one tomorrow!
I hope that everyone did better than me with their choices this weekend! Here's to a great week!!!

Days 10 and 11

I'm excited to be halfway there in my 21 day Wellness Challenge! I have stuck with almost all of my goals every day for the last 11 days. This hard work paid off today when I ran a 8 minute mile!! I know that this wouldn't have been possible a few months ago, so that really shows me that all the Boot Camp, Strength Class, Ellipticalling(I don't think that's a word..lol) is worth it!
I knew that when I took Bella to dance tonight that I wanted to run. I want to run the Housetops 4 Haiti 4 mile run in 40 minutes and I know that I need more conditioning. I started running the first mile and I think the stars were just aligned. The weather was awesome..there was a nice cool breeze, I had eaten a light dinner earlier so I had energy but wasn't full, I was hydrated, and I was able to regulate my breathing. Halfway through the first mile I looked down and my phone said 4 minutes had passed, but I had a big hill coming up so I just hoped for a 10 minute mile ( which I haven't done since high school). I kept my pace up through that hill and I don't know if anyone could have stopped me when I got to the top. As soon as I hit the one mile mark I looked down and it said 8 minutes!!!! I really wanted to break down and cry right then. Had anyone been with me I probably would have. I was just so stinkin happy! I started walking because I had to share my joy:) So I posted on Facebook and called a couple of people while I walked the next mile. It sounds crazy that I did that now:) I then did a 10 minute mile and walked the 4th mile. When I was done it had taken me a little over 40 minutes.
I wanted to write this out so that when I get discouraged I can always look back at today..a day of  triumph! And I want others to know that they can achieve their goals too. By looking at me most people would never think that I could run at all  but it's possible when you work hard.

The camera lens that I normally use is getting repaired and my other camera needs repairs and I have a crappy cell phone camera but when I get my lens back I hope to share with you some of the healthy recipes I have been using and I'll post the PB2 smoothie recipe! And I have a FUN post coming up very soon:)

Makayla and I spent a lot of time outside today. She sat just like this for about an hour just watching the cars go by. I love this warm weather! It encourages me to move! Today has been pretty easy as far as diet and exercise go and really just meeting my goals. I know that some days are easy and some are really hard, so I'm really thankful for today!

Picture
I took my Life Long Vitality pack twice today. The picture above shows half the pills you take in one day. I think they secretly sneak some kind of drug in there because they give me a crazy amount of energy.
Picture
I also had this salad today. It was sooo good. Especially after working out this morning. It had plenty of protein and the whole thing was around 350 calories. The little black things are Chia seeds and they add extra protein and fiber.
I did the elliptical this morning before Strength class. I think I sweated more in this class than I ever had before. I hope that was fat burning off:) I also walked 30 minutes today.
I drank a TON of water!!! Way over 64 oz.
I also had 20 oz of Green Smoothie this morning. This is the recipe that I base mine off of. http://greensmoothiegirl.com/2009/12/01/heres-the-green-smoothie-recipe-i-almost-always-use/

Candy says this during boot camp all the time and it really motivates me!  I think your internal dialogue has to change in order to have success when it comes to weight loss. You have to say I CAN instead of I CAN'T! I WILL instead of this is a little uncomfortable, so I'm going to stop, or slow down. I was so excited and proud of Lolita today.. as we were running up a big ol hard hill  she said I CAN DO THIS and guess what SHE DID IT!
I stuck with my goals today.
I need to drink about 20 more ounces and I'll have all my water drank.
I have taken my Life Long Vitality twice today.
I had a big salad for lunch.
I drank my Green Smoothie for breakfast. I think from now on I'll save it for after my work out.
I did boot camp and walked 30 minutes tonight. I wish that I could have gotten on the elliptical this morning. Tomorrow I will make sure to get there earlier!
I'm ready to work hard this week and I'm going to post some of my healthier meals to

Day 7

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom thou have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
                                                                   1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I kept thinking about this verse today. I was listening to Pastor Brian speak today and then my mind would wonder to this verse and then back to his message. I feel like God gives very clear instructions on how to care for our bodies. We are told not to be gluttonous and not be lazy along with other commands. I know that I haven't honored God with the care of my body in the past.  I also know that WITH God it is possible! I know that my success last week was only through God. I lost a little over 2 pounds last week!!! Today wasn't my best day but I'm looking forward to Monday and the start of a new week. Here's the rundown of my goals today:
I drank about 40ish oz of water today. We ate out and I had unsweet tea.
I had one of my Life Long Vitality pack today.
I had a salad for lunch and ate some of it. It had way to much balsamic vinegar..it was basically swimming in it.
No green smoothie today. I can tell I've had poor nutrition today because I'm not feeling that great. The great news is I only have to wait until my next meal to get back on track.
No exercise today!!! Between driving to Hixson and the rain I didn't exercise. I can't wait to get to exercise tomorrow!!
The Bible tells me that the Lord has plans for me, plans to prosper and not harm me, and plans to give me hope and a future. I am praying for God's guidance this week and for all my friends that are on this journey with me!

Day 3

I've made it to Day 3 and I'm still going strong! I completed all of my goals but 1!
I have taken my Life Long Vitality pack twice today.
I drank all of my water-plus a little extra!
I had 16 oz of Green Smoothie.
I did the elliptical for 25 minutes today and then took Candy's Boot Camp Class at the Y. Today's class was so fun and I encourage everyone to give it a try at least once. It's neat seeing people in the class getting stronger and doing more and more each week. Oh, and I got to walk about 45 minutes tonight while the girls visited my grandfather with my parents.
The one I missed today...my Salad! I really want to make sure I'm getting enough vegetables and getting full on healthy foods. I will have one tomorrow and make sure and buy plenty of vegetables at the grocery store this weekend.
I have eaten so healthy this week the approaching weekend makes me a little nervous. That is when I typically eat out and I don't want to mess up all my hard work! I'm just going to keep in mind I have to be honest with myself..and you guys that are reading this!

Replenishing
Today has been good. I've loved the positive feedback from people! I stuck to all of my goals again today.
I took my Life Long Vitality pack twice today.
I drank over my 64 oz of water today most with doTerra lemon essential oil.
I worked out over an hour today. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical this morning and then Kyle took his turn kicking our butts in strength class. I think today was probably his hardest class to date.
I drank 32 oz of Green Smoothie and even Pierre drank a glass!
I also measured my portions..I weighed out my hamburger (4oz) and had a salad.

I feel like each time I make a good decision, it's a little victory for me, and it gets a little easier. For example, I took my girls to Sonic for Happy Hour today and usually I would have a small vanilla cone. Instead I drank my water and just focused on having a good time with them. I also feel like I have more energy and mental clarity. I completed two "projects" today that I have been procrastinating about.
I also have to say that I'm extremely sore in the muscles in my lower legs and surrounding my ankles, because Monday we ran outside and I haven't ran outside very much this winter. I'm complaining about the soreness not the running outside ...I love running outside! I'm looking forward to tomorrow and hope that everyone has had an awesome day!

And GO Amber and Lolita for completing your goal today!!

21 Day Wellness Challenge and Remembering Lorrie Fenn

Picture
This picture has a little to do with this post but really I just think my dad's eggs look pretty! They are all different sizes and shapes and are super good. Anyway, I have a hard time staying committed to my health when I feel like I have so many other things to do/take care of. That is the reason I wanted to challenge myself to take care of myself. It's said that a habit is made in 30 days, but frankly, last Monday was a very crazy, hectic day for me so a 21 day challenge it will be. I would love for anyone  who would like to join me to comment here and let me know what your commitment will be and we'll do it together for the next 21 days! My commitments will be:
1. Take my Life Long Vitality pills twice everyday.
2. Exercise at least 1 hour everyday.(Even Sat and Sun)!
3. Have at least 1 Green Smoothie everyday.
4. Drink 8-8oz glasses of water everyday with lemon essential oil..not including exercise water.
5. Measure portions and have a salad before dinner each night.

This list is completely doable, it will just take planning and preparation on my part. One of my favorite sayings is Fail to Plan..Plan to Fail. I will post my weight loss here next Sunday...EEK!

I would like to do this Challenge in honor of Lorrie Fenn. I never met Lorrie in person, but she blogged at Token Fat Girl for a long time. Each day I would read her blog and look at her beautiful photography and read her inspiring words. I felt like the words she wrote could have come from my own mouth a lot of times. Lorrie passed away the day after her 30th birthday. I hope Lorrie is at peace and pray for her husband. I'm going to use her inspiring life to better mine. I hope some of you join in with me!
