She has lost 100 pounds!!! I am so proud of her and she looks great! She offered to answer any questions that I may have, so I sent her a list. What she sent back to me made me cry. So in her words here is her story..
I think my biggest inspiration was and is Matthew. I had tried since I was 12 to lose weight and I finally stuck with it. I've been pretty lucky to not have any health problems associated with obesity (yet) but having a child was a wake up call. I joined WW once again in Sept of 2011 and then I joined Absolute Fitness in Nov of the same year. What kept me going was my gym family. I have met some of my best friends ever there over the last year. And anytime I get discouraged or want to quit they are pushing me to keep goig. I hurt my ankle in Oct 2012 and basically gave up but they didn't give up on me, and welcomed me back with open arms. Thankfully I didn't gain too much weight then. I love the classes that the gym offers. I do Zumba 4 days a week. Abs 2 times and Bootcamp 2 times. Along with other cardio and strengthining exercises. One my biggest inspirations is my friend Shannon. She has been the 350 pound girl too and has lost 140 plus pounds and I look up to her. She keeps me going and always has something positive to say. She knows how it feels to be 350 and then not to be. Losing this weight has made me happier with myself and healthier for sure. I can wear clothes that I wouldn't ever even have tried on before. I still have at least 75 more I want to lose, but this first 100 is almost unreal. I still go to bigger sizes and sometimes refuse to try on a smaller size because I think it won't fit. It's very easy to get discouraged, but looking at how far I've come, Im doing my 6th 5k on saturday, and before I would never even think I'd make it down the street. Its been a long journey thats not over, but I'm looking foward to the next chapter!
Jennie, thank you so much for sharing this with me and letting me share your story! You are such an inspiration. I'm proud of you and can't wait to see your next chapter.
